Hi Laura! The smell does eventually fade out, or perhaps I just get more used to it? I've also sometimes added a drop or two of something very mild & all purpose, like lavender essential oil, if a lotion scent bugs my nose too much. Generally though, I really like unscented lotions, especially for my face. :)

Hi! Very interesting tests. I’m just starting out making my own natural products, and I’m using Leucidal SF Complete as I thought it sounded the most natural and environmentally safe. I am noticing, however, that my products have that medicinal smell you described above...I describe it as “dusty”. You said that you noticed the smell initially. Does it go away after a while? Or have you found a way to mask it? I just made my first two batches with it yesterday, so I’m really hoping to render it.
